I have been getting calls from this # and they have left messages on my machine from Carl King saying I am to contact them immediately or have a legal representative call by the end of the day.(they have left this message several days now). When I get home from work (at 9am) i have tried to call back and the phone doesn't even ring. I get silence the 10-15 seconds and then disconnected. Does anyone know who this is? How do I contact them if I can't call the number they left me?!!!

question, does this person have a thick accent?if so it is
a bottomfeeder who wants to try to imtimidate you into
paying an unverifiable debt over the phone.no legit
collector would keep leaving the same message for several
days.i wouldn't return anymore calls.

I have just rec'd the same call from 866-679-4046, and the man that left me the voicemail on my machine at work was a deep husky southern voice. When I called it back, someone said hello. They did not answer it like a regular business would. Eric Thompson is the name of the person leaving the message. I am sure that it is some crooked collection agency. They never called my perosnal phone number.

its kinda hard to know how you should handle a call like this if you dont know what the call is even for, right?
The next time 866-679-4046 call, try to get some information from them about why they are calling. they could be calling looking for the last person that had that phone number. They could be calling because someone stole your identity. They could be calling trying to locate a relative of yours. they could be calling because they are scamming people. OR, they could be calling because you legitimately owe someone money and they are trying to collect it. In each of those cases, there is a different course of action to take to remedy the situation. but as long as you hang up on them without getting that information, you'll never know whats going on.

866-679-4046...getting calls several times a day from various people looking for Latrice(sp?) Johnson. Not me or nobody I know. Last call received was this evening just after 7pm. Used very harsh language (multiple carnal verbs)...no threats...just vulgarity in voicing my displeasure. Voice on the other end sounded really offended...let's see if they call back tomorrow. I'll make a game of how many f-bombs get dropped in one minute...

We have been getting recorded messages for weeks on our answering machine for someone not living here. I finally broke down today and called 866 679 4046 and I agree with the majority of you that this is a bogus company. I requested that they remove our phone number from any call lists and the guy started quizzing me for information. When I told him that wasn't important...just don't call anymore...he told me that HE would let me know what was important. He pushed the wrong button on that one and I called him a name that I never use and hung up. A word to the wise...don't give these people ANY information.

After some exhaustive investigation by myself and my attorney, we have found out about how this company works. First of all let me say that I was a victim of Identity theft. They opened several online checking accounts with my info and did indeed get several payday loans that were not paid back, hence why I have an attorney. I was not made aware if the situation until I started getting all these calls. My attorney was able to take care of most of them, still working on a few but it looks promising.

Now back to this company. What they do is BUY unrecoverable debts and use "ILLEGAL" collection practices to attempt to scare people into paying them. They will tell you that they are officers, attorneys, Federal Fraud Investigators etc. Heard them all...LMAO. They threaten you with jail, law suits and threatening to call everyone that you know to let them know you owe money. ALL ILLEGAL, when they call my attorney told me to refer them to him and if that does not work to laugh at them and tell them several times that they are a scam and hang up the phone, which for me actually worked they finally quit calling. Just my experience hope it works for you.
