I borrowed 200 dollars from Midland Financial and Sand Point Capital and I've paid over 360 dollars back to both of them. They are robbing me. Can anyone tell me how to get away from this? I'm tired of paying them and not getting anywhere. I think I've paid them what I owe already. Please HELP!!

Midland Marketing Group or Bahama Marketing Group. Did you have a payday loan through them or are they collecting for a pdl? There are a lot of posts at this forum made by other members here on this company and so far all I have read are negative remarks. According to other members here they use illegal tactics to collect and are notorious for violating the FDCP. Report them to you Attorney General's office and file a complaint online with the BBB. Have they made any contact with you through usps or is all communication via telephone? What state are you in? How much did you borrow and pay back? What was the name of the original lenders?

I haven't read anything possitive about Sand Point Capital either. Please provide us with the info I requested and we will be able to help you further.

Is your bank account still opened?

same thing isnt it????

Actually NO, it isn't the same thing. Let me explain why, FYI. If a collection agency is attempting to collect on this debt as opposed to the original creditor (in this case I am assuming a payday lender) they (the collection agency) would fall under the FDCP (Fair Debt Collection Practices), in which case a Cease & Desist letter would apply among various other options which would not apply to the OC.

Shazzers,

Yes, I had a payday loan through them. They have since sent me to a collection agency called AIS after I sent them a letter revoking auth. from my bank account. I have already reported them to the Attorney General's office my next step is to file one with the BBB. The only way they have communicated with me is through email. I'm in the state of Arkansas. I borrowed $200.00 from both Midland financial and Sandpoint capital I have paid almost $400.00 back to both of them. I've paid back double. The original lender is Midland Financial (at least that's what the paperwork say). Sandpoint Capital is the original Clearwater bay marketing (at least that's what they say when they answer the phone). Yes, my bank account is still open. Should I close it? Thanks for responding back.

yeah, I overpaid them too. Finally closed the checking account down and sent out the C&D letters to the IPDL's and (BOOM!) straight to AIS collection agency. Of course you have to love it when the collection agency doesn't even have your information. I was in Payday debt so deep it wasn't even funny. It's pretty crazy how quickly these can spiral out of control.

mr paul wilson is a scammer.he probably runs an advance fee loan scam.that is where you send him a lump sum, probably between 800.00 to 1500.00.do not fall for that scam.

there is nothing wrong with Midland financial. I am paying off my loan right now and i am having no problems. the thing that you have to understand about the loan is that you will continue to pay only your interest unless you otherwise tell them (3 days before your loan is up for renewal) that you want to pay down your loan. If you dont then they will continue to renew it and you will continue to only pay the interest. hope this helps!

You're not going to jail so ignore that. Arkansas is a 1 party state. You can record your conversations and you do not have to inform the other party you are recording. Circuit City has a fairly inexpensive digital recorder made by Olympus. It's about $75 dollars but will hold 200+ hours of recordings. I had to go to Radio Shack to get the mic that would record from the phone. It was around $19. Get a few of those threatening phone calls on tape. Alos, have you DV'd them yet?

Almost sounds like the call my wife got the other day. I think they work for phoenix debt management or PDM. When they call again ask who they're collecting for and if they say PDM tell them they're going to be reported to the better business bureau, that shut them up really quickly. Also make sure to send whoever it is a C & D letter.

Does anyone have an address for Midland Financial, at least the city and state? I haven't been able to locate it. I have found that a payday loan is unenforceable in WA State if they charge a fee of more than 15% of the total loan amount, or $15 per $100. I need their location in order to file a complaint with DFI.
Thanks

Guest, what state are you in?

From what I can find on them they are illegal. You best bet is to close your bank account. That is the only way to stop them. What they are taking out are only rollover fees and nothing is going towards the $150 to pay it off.

I found this contact info but nobody can seem to get a hold of them.

Sandpoint Capital, LLC
P.O. Box 636
Charleston, Nevis West Indies
Phone Number 1-800-708-4342
Fax Number 1-800-708-4351

They are hiding on purpose so they can continue to debit the fees forever and you can not contact them to pay off the loan.

I just got one of their little calls about "warrents." I did get back with them, and was given a "release number," as long as the money is in there by the 24th to the tune of 585.00- The loan, with its fees had been 260.00. A friend has suggested reporting them to the FBI due to their being online, and across state lines. I am trying to also report them to the Better Business Bureau, but the 800 number I have doesn't bring up a thing, and their statement conveniently doesn't give their address!

Thanks,

Terrie Ann Wallace,
Pocatello, ID

This has also stressed me enough that dealing with the FBI right now feels like I would Not do well- And, having even applied for a job in their data-entry department once, they can be very, very intimidating.

no they can't.they are not legal, and you overpaid by 2,200.00.i would close that account or they will continue to debit.that is the way illegals work.they can't do a thing to you legally.

Some YO YO from a place calling themselves Midland Financial has contacted me three times in the last two weeks saying that I was "approved" for a loan I SUPPOSEDLY took out. I HAVE NOT taken out any loan whatsoever and they say the funds will be dispersed in November. I DO NOT want any such "loan" as I DID NOT apply for any such loan! I WILL NOT be held responsible for something I didn't take out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to shut these idiots up???
