Hello, Has anyone found a debt relief company that is reputable and has helped them?

I know the best advice is to go to a non-profit debt consolidation center and we have done that; however, we still cannot afford that minimum monthly payment.

Any advice?

Thanks

What type of debt do you have, credit cards, pay day loans?

If you can tell us a little more info such as:

What state are you in?

How much do you owe?

Are the debts with the original creditor or with collection agencies, and when was the last payment?

This will help us to give you a direction in which to go..Feel free to ask questions..karen

Moreover what your current monthly payments towards the debt and what is the least you want to afford? Btw in some cases the minimum monthly payments are determined by how much the total debt is. As in, opting for the payment plan that will keep your creditors at bay.

Normally I would agree with looking into a non-profit credit counseling service and doing a debt management program or dmp if you can afford it. However if you are over extended and can`t afford the payment for a dmp than you may want to consider debt settlement. Debt Settlement will get you a lower payment you can live with and get you out of debt in 3 years or less. If you do decide to go the debt settlement route be sure to check that company out with the BBB and make sure they are members or at least have a solid reputation.
