Is it possible to have a creditor take something off of your Credit Report after you pay it? I have things that I want to pay and have them agree to take it off permenatly and I plan to have it all in writing also.

I didn't know anything about negotiating for things like that, I just paid all my debts in full. Then when I checked my credit a year or so later, and saw all those collections still on there, I disputed them on all of my 3 credit bureau reports, and other than one, they were all removed within a month or so. When you pay in settlement it is a different thing, they typically will not be removed. If I could do it all over again, I would bargain for settlement and a Delete letter, and failing that, would bargain for full pay and a Delete in advance to avoid problems down the road.
Good luck!
