A so-called friend used my computer and email address to obtain internet pdl's  which she had kept current until recently she closed her account now I am getting nasty messages from these companies. What do I do, now they have my email address  and I have sent her through the usps copies of these email in hopes that she would call them but she hasn't and won't return any of my phone calls.

are these places calling you?if not i would just delete the emails.if so that is fraud on her part.try to speak with her, even if it means going to her house or apartment.

Even though you had said the emails are coming to your email address, are they specifically addressed to you, or your "so-called" friend? What she did is just flat out wrong, and fraud, identity theft if she used your name. If she didn't use your name, then I would do as the previous posts had said; give the pdls her telephone# and address.

Not to mention, I would also be done with her once the matter gets straightened out.

I agree with other posters - give the PDL's her contact information and for goodness sakes, in the future, be more careful with your computer. We don't like to think our friends would do something like this, but she doesn't sound like much of a friend!! Hopefully she didn't have any access to any of your personal info (such as bank accounts, Social Security #, etc); but just to be on the safe side, at least for a while, keep a close watch on your bank account to make sure there's no unauthorized withdrawals or other activity.

Well at least she didn't use your bank account...

Using your email would be the same as if she put down that she lived at your address. That doesn't make you any bit responsible for anything. And you have no obligation to make sure she gets the mail, either.

You could not get in trouble for giving them her contact info, either, because you are not bound by any collection/privacy laws.

Well thank god. I am not calling them I will try to send them emails though if they can receive them, you know alot of them won't. I know that Thinkcash, which is not a pdl has an address in texas but I know they are back by the first bank of delaware...the other one that I know of is mycashnow which is located in vancouver, bc.

She needs to pay back the principal on what she borrowed as far as I am concerned, otherwise I look at it as fraud on her part.
