I am currently struggling to pay credit card debt that I
had to obtain to take care of grandchildren. My monthly
payments are a real hardship as my earnings have been
reduced. I talked to a consumer credit counselor who
recommended a debt management plan, but the payments
will only be about $40 less than the regular monthly total
I am barely able to pay now. Is there another way, short
of bankruptcy?
