this was my mistake - what i meant was for anyone out there that is being sued how long was it between the CA's calling and harrassing you to actually being taken to court. Does it take months , years? And If I may, once you are served can you still claim Bankruptcy or is it too late?

thank you, that is what i was wondering if the CA's give up where does it go? Does it keep going from CA's to CA's until an attorney takes over? This is all so new to me and it seems there is a hundred questions one could ask. This site is so patient with everyone.

CAs will sell the debt if they feel they have a tough job collecting. If they know you are represented by counsel they will quickly disappear. Collection Lawyers will sue especially the ones collecting for credit card companies.
