I thought it was illegal for a coimpany to keep refershing dates?

Thanks Paul, I'm going to send a letter to headquaters to get a more updated letter from them before including BK attorney and court. Which court would I go through Small claims bankruptcy court?

Cap1 can report for 7.5 years from the Date of First Default but not 1 second longer regardless of BK. They can still update the tradeline monthly as well. It does not change when the tradeline will drop. If your BK was in 2002 they can still report until 2009. What month was your BK discharged?
As long as they have the included in BK notation on their tradel
As long as they have the included in BK notation on their tradeline then they are reporting accurately.

I thought they had to stop doing monthly updates once you included in bankruptcy? None of my other companies that I filed w/ them have done it. Even other credit cards.

Are you looking at the Date of Last Activity? They can only report for 7.5 from the date of first default. DOLA has no bearing on how long iot can stay on your report.

Date of Last Activity. They keep refershing the date of ,last activity to whatever current month. they should have stopped that when I filed bankruptcy back in 2002. My understanding the DOLA is what the credit report uses whether the item stays on your report or falls off after 7 years.

No...DOLA would be updates to the tradeline Date of First Default is what determines how long its stays on your reports. Max 7.5 years from DOFD. They can update the tradeline monthly for up to 7.5 years as long as it shows a $0 balance and "Included in BK" notation.
