I've tried mailing them a letter stating that I including them in my bankuptcy back in 2002 and they are still reporting 7 years later as a current account. Well if they would have stopped refreshing the date, it should be falling off my report in two years. At this rate it will NEVER fall off. I do believe it does say that it was included in bankruptcy. I'm trying to clean up my credit report, and all my bankuprtcy and some other stuff will be falling off in a few years.

The letter I received back (a few years ago now) stated I need to clear up the account and it needs to be zero.. or some such thing if I remember correctly. Ummm Hello, it was included in bankruptcy people so it is at zero!

I thought it was illegal for a coimpany to keep refershing dates?

let your BK attorney and the court know.it is not legal to keep refreshing dates.as long as this was discharged what they are doing is not legal.

if you still have the trustee's name go to him.also go through the BK courts first.looking at a contempt order in the face might shake capitol one into removing that entry.

Date of Last Activity. They keep refershing the date of ,last activity to whatever current month. they should have stopped that when I filed bankruptcy back in 2002. My understanding the DOLA is what the credit report uses whether the item stays on your report or falls off after 7 years.
