I haven't been through this personally but did you ever receive any dunning letters prior to being sued on this account? Did you ask for validation on this account? I have heard that slamowitz can be pretty scummy. What to do would really depend on the above questions. Also did you sign an agreement and was the case dismissed?

yes i recieved dunning letter its for my discover account they sent me a summons that i will be sue so i called them and in order for me to stop from being sue i had to make payment arrangements with slamowitz i have been paying them since january of this year i owe about another 1,500 so now i was wondering if maybe i can settle for the remaing balance i think they probably say no so thats why i am on here wondering if anyone here has been through this
Settlement
If you've entered into an agreement with them, why pay the back end that you both agreed to settle. If you agreed toa settlement anout and payment, don't go back and say : I would like to pay off the back end ". If you could have done that in the beginning, thats what you should have done.
Settlement means just that, an agreed upon amount.

I can tell you I tried doing this and it was a no go.Instead they started being very rude and so it never worked out.They stated I agreed to the original terms of making XXX payments until paid in full so they would not work with me but you can always try it never hurts.Good Luck!!
