Since the last 5 years, my family use only 2 credit cards. Suddently I received a LOFT Master card sent to us. We had never applied for any credid card since then.

The LOFT cards are issued by World Financial Network National Bank. I called their number 1-866-886-1009 the answering machine says that if I wanted to cancel the new card just arrived (they know!) I'll have to WRITE them. The address is World Financial Network National Bank. POBOX 182272. Columbus, OH 43218.

Do they have the right to simply send you something you do not request, and you have to WRITE them to say I DO NOT WANT!! ?? Where can I send a complain about this? Please help!

sounds like a scam to me.do guest advises send it back per the instructions.cmrrr, with a nice FOAD attached for making you send a cancellation of there scam.

Send the card back, CUT UP. State that at no time did you request this card and you are returning it. Check your Credit Report to make sure that they are not listed.

More than likely they will send you a bill for some sort of fee. Keep a copy of all documents.

Actually, it's not a scam. If at any time in the past 10 years you or a family member had an active Ann Taylor account that you did not actually cancel but let "expire," then your account was technically not closed. They started a new program to update their cards this fall (and to be completely balanced, it's kind of a neat system they've got this time around for you to essentially earn store cash back on purchases), so if you had an account that was not officially closed, technically, you're still a cardmember, and they automatically sent you the update. Also see if anyone in your family agreed at any point of sale this fall to an account "upgrade," which would unearth the inactive account and submit the account holder for a MasterCard consideration. Please note that there is NO FEE associated with this card if you do not use it. The only fees assessed are the typical interest rates if you charge something.

I received a decline to application for credit that
I never applied for and was told to contact Experian as to why I was not approved. I never applied for a card and I sent a letter stating so. Why must it be my responsibility to contact Experien to have the request taken off when I never applied in the first place nor did I give this company permission to contact Experien in my behalf ?
