OK I sent them a debt validation letter about 4 months ago. It was right after they first contacted me. I then disputed the entry on my credit report 2 times and it came back verified but I never got any validation.

I figured I would give them one more shot so I disputed the entry 2 days ago and I looked today and they are off my credit report.... they just saved themselves some money cause I was going to sue them.

So what does this mean now that it is off and I haven't heard a response from them? Did they sell it to another company? Did they throw it away and give up?

Was your DV sent out within 30 days of recieving their INITIAL dunning letter? If not, then they can still report as long as the notation - "Disputed by consumer - meets FCRA requirements" shows on the tradeline = no violation/lawsuit. I'd slow down a bit on the "I'm gonna sue you" nonsense. Get a better understanding on the FCRA and fdcpa. If you're going to start throwing them out, you should at least understand what you'e saying. Right now they'd eat you up and spit you out and the only end result is just another clog in a system already too full of frivilous lawsuits.

Learn the system first, then use it to your advantage. Multiple violations=leverage.
