Hi BLL...the only piece of advise I would give at this point is to make sure that you see everything in writing before you agree to a settlement. Never give out your account information over the phone in the form of a pre-authorized check. If something isn't in writing - it's a no go!

Do I need stated that they need to report to the credit bureau's I am current? What should I have stated on the letter and what % should I settle for? I mean I am allready screwed with the CO so why not settle for 10%?

Asking a collection agency to report you are current ineffective. collection agencies never collect current debts so anyone looking at your CR would know what the real story is.
What type of debt are they collecting on?
