Long story short: Split up with spouse over a year ago, were making good money together, had 7,000 left from a 403B, have been working as a temp due to falling economy and had to use credit cards (that were paid off at the time due to a debt consolidation loan) to set myself up in an apartment, living expenses, etc. Have fiancee (found out he has cancer), he lost his med insurance have been helping with his medication costs (expensive!!). Took the whole 7000 and paid down 2 cards i had been actively using and they cut me off at what i owed (i had previously 9000 credit leeway for emergencies) Had to use other cards for rent, expenses et et while working part time. Signed up with Credit Solutions a week ago and sounded GREAT, infact my program is all set to start on the 9th of Jan. Now i find i might be laid off AGAIN due to economy and after checkiing out what i am bringing in anyway, even with this job, i am still nearly 150 in the hole each month. My question is, can the debt management people renogiate my program very a much lower payment until i find a permanent job or should i just throw in the towel and file bankruptcy? The house i currently still own with my soon to be ex has NO equity, and i have nothing to my name except my car, paid off, thank GOD. Any advice would be appreciated. Sorry this was so long winded.

I'm sorry to hear about your tough situation, LISA. You have alot to deal with. I've never dealt with Debt Consolidation companies before....so, I'm not REALLY sure how they work. It sounds, however, like they are working with you..that's a 'positive'. I'm sure they will understand your issue about being laid-off soon. I think communication is the 'BIG' thing..between the 'consumer' and the company. Sounds like you're on the 'right track'.

You can go for debt relief option like the one from Freedom debt relief, Their debt reduction program is very good as your debt amount also gets reduced.
