Now I am on my wife's accounts. She owes WAMU 19000 8000 being a business card. The other 11000 being hers with me as a Authorized user. The cards were sent to IC for collections.
1. Has anyone had success with them and at what %
2. What legal and credit reporting does Authorized user fall under.
3. I am worn out. I settled 90000 of my own ( Most all this debt is our failed company.) And I am tired and am losing my cool with people.
The other 2 are Discover 6000
and Juniper Barclays 4000
Thanks, BLL

I haven't dealt with them personally. I have seen many threads related to IC Systems in our forum but haven't found any specific settlement deal with them. Here are some of the forum discussions on I.C.Systems: -

I just got a collection letter from I.C. Systems for my Orchard card

I don't know how to deal with this 2100. debt from a scam with chase bank -- they say it's my debt even though scam, even though it took chase 10 days to clear check, then i used it and wired to a someone i was working for and checks bounced, so i'm responsible and i was foolish

can't deal with them myself need help -- out of work but praying something may start in about a month. i up for two projects.

thanks
meryl

Does anyone have a fax number for I.C. Systems?

I refuse to talk to any of these creditors and I need to send a Cease and Desist letter and let them know that I only work directly with the creditor.

Thanks!

Well, I tried to settle with Target and HSBC-Best Buy directly, but they have IC Systems handling it. I was looking for fax numbers and contact info. It seems that they call people all the time, so I found this information as contact info for them.

I.C. System
444 Hwy. 96 East
St. Paul, MN 55127
Phone: 651-481-6409
Fax: 651-481-6556
Toll Free: 800-279-3511
www.icsystem.com
clientservice@icsystem.com

I'm going to fax them a settlement offer and see what happens from there. I'm going to offer less to them than I was willing to offer to the creditor. Can't hurt. Worse they can say is no and we go from there.

I won't be scared of these companies any more.

Stef,If your debt has been sold to the collection agency (not just referred), you will have to deal with them.

Hi Ohio Gal! Yes, I found out that I have to deal with the Collection agency. So I will contact them directly. I am documenting everything, so if they take me to court, I can prove I tried to work with them fairly.

No more fear!

I've been with Verizon for over 10 years, be CAREFUL when you switch plans or consolidate because there will usually be a balance either a credit or due amount that WILL NOT be billed to your NEW account and will sit idle for up to 3 years when finally IC Collections comes after you. The unknown balance I had of $16 was due EVEN THOUGH I'M STILL A GOOD WITHSTANDING CUSTOMER WITH VERIZON AND they sent my balance due to collections instead of CONTACTING ME at my same VERIZON phone number and new address I have with them. VERIZON SUCKS! I called verizon to ask why they sent a balance to collections even though I'm still a loyal customer of theirs, they said oops sorry, it happens! They had no record of the balance due until I gave them my social security number and did a search...then they said, oh yeah, we sent it to collections so we can't talk about it now. I'm like, HELLO, If you were trying to get a hold of me to pay a debt I owe you, why didn't you CALL MY VERIZON FREAKINPHONE or BILL ME at my current VERIZON ADDRESS on file!

Verizon Sucks, Verizon did the same thing to me. I never received any statement or notice of balance owned, and then out of the blue I get hit with UNKNOWN BALANCE from a collection agency stating I owe the same $16. Having just returned to the country, I am past the 30 day dispute deadline. I went ahead and paid the collection agency just to buy myself time. Is there anything I can do to protect my credit score?
