old medical bill question

I was injured in 2003, in MO. I went to the hospital and my regular doctor which medicade paid for. I also went to an attorney who was going to handle my case. He sent me to a chiropractor. The case has been dropped because the witness refused to testify after 1 year. Now I am stuck 5 years later with a medical bill from the Chiropractor. I do not have any way to pay $3,400. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Pull your credit report and see if the doctor has charged this off. Then follow the advice above. If it was charged off it will probably wind up in the hands on a collector and run past the SOL. Do not admit to owing this at anytime or you will restart the SOL.
