I was injured in 2003, in MO. I went to the hospital and my regular doctor which medicade paid for. I also went to an attorney who was going to handle my case. He sent me to a chiropractor. The case has been dropped because the witness refused to testify after 1 year. Now I am stuck 5 years later with a medical bill from the Chiropractor. I do not have any way to pay $3,400. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Since medical bills fall under open ended accounts, the Statute of Limitation is 5 years and so you should check whether the SOL has expired or not. If it has expired, the creditor cannot recover the debt from you. However, if it has not expired, and you do not have any means to repay it, just wait for the creditor to take the first step.
