Send a DV Letter, and let them know in it, that they they are not to contact you, at either your home, work or any number that you may find of yours. Also advise in the letter that they are not to contact any realtives or references.
I'd also contact your DFI and see if they are a licensed collection agency in RI.
I'd also contact your bank and see about closing it so they can't get ahold of your account # and still try putting it through.
