If it is sent to collections, the chances are the CA they choose will not be operating legally. You will probably receive a call informing you they are a CA, in that case you can tell them that they only have 5 days to send you a written notice that they are collection per the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), look it up it will explain your rights.
Anyway, IF they do send you a letter (called a dunning letter), you will then have the right to request they validate your debt. The buck usually stops right there because I am highly doubtful they will be able to validate the debt, and during the validation period all collection attempts must stop.

You probably can't reach them. Close your account asap and dispute it with the branch manager. Your account will never be safe now that they have your account information.
