I am trying to locate a physical address to My Cash Now. It was an internet loan. The company that answers the calls is a place called Credit Protection Depot.

I have read some of the other posts about My Cash Now and Credit Protection Depot but the posts are old.

After threating legal action and a call from my state's attorney general, they sent me to a recording... but they spitted off the address so quickly, wasn't able to fully get it.

Can anyone fill in the blanks?

23-845 Dakota Suite 102
Winnipeg, Canada

Thanks! I can't get these fools off my back.

PS - had two loans with them with with an overpayment of $750 on the two loans above the principal value.

Credit Protection Depot collect for both My Cash Now and PayDayMax accounts. Both PDL companies are based overseas and are ILLEGAL. Send your letters informing you will only pay the remaining principal balnce owed on your loan and be done with them. If you have not done so already, please file a report with the BBB on Credit Protection Depot. Best of Luck!

Here is the last known address I have for CPD. Last I heard from my state AG, CPD moved from Las Vegas.

CREDIT PROTECTION DEPOT

FAX 866-645-1662

Las Vegas, NV 89102

Misc #s listed 702-000-4601

Thank you! They were rude, continue to call eventhough my letter about ACH revocation and contact, etc was faxed to the number you provided.

I just needed a good address to send something certified mail so that I can get these scum off my back.

When I called their customer service, she said she couldn't give me an address without my account information. Told her it was My Cash Now, but she said it depends on what part of the country you are in where their physical address is... what bull!

They are so rude and nasty! I don't owe them a cent. In fact they owe me!

It is time for Credit Protection Depot to go down. She could not give an address without your account information. They have your account information....so what the hell are they talking about. My loan is due 2-20-09. I have already faxed over notification. If I start receiving calls for collection, I have something in store for those crooks.

Since they do not want to give you an address, your fax and confirmation is proof that you sent your letters. This is the fax number they gave me. I will see if I can contact any govermental agency in NV, maybe they can give me some information to share. Hang tight.

That is good advise, hound them every day like they do us. They are the lowest scum!

Even others that are illegal seem to at least have enough sense to know they are illegal and write it off and don't call.

Guess they figure what's going to happen to them, they aren't even in the US physically... just a stupid corporate address...

Good luck to everyone having to deal with them!

Dear Mistyblue... I would make sure your bank account is safe as they have tried to debit 4 times sinice my ACH revocation. My bank just keeps notice of them so I can have them for any legal fillings against them.

So watch out!

Thanks for the advice. I have already close that account and reopen a new account. I have wanted to close my account before last Friday but had checks that needed to clear. So I called up CPD before the due date and told them I am unable to pay. I wired them $50.00 (interest only) and they extended until the 2-20-09. Instead of setting-up a payment plan like I requested they extended to get more money from me. Scums... like you say.

I searched the NV BBB site for Credit Protection Depot and they report that this company is out of business. I called the NV Division of Financial Institutions and they informed me that no company under the name Credit Protection Depot operates or have operated in the State of NV. She asked that I file a complaint at www.fid.state.nv.us so they can do some further investigation. I told her that they was collecting for foreign companies not licensed in the USA.

Hopefully someone can give me an answer. I have had and repaid several loans with My Cash Now. I changed bank accounts and faxed them new bank info. When my payday came they did not debit my account. They had not updated my info. Well, now I'm in default of the loan - cannot repay it. What kind of trouble will I get in if I do not repay the loan? Any ideas? Should I repay it. I know I should - just don't have the money anymore.

I have been sent a letter from Washington DC (District Court) to appear for claim from My Cash Now. I did have alone from them for $500.00 that has (with finance charges) climbed to $1,500.00. In addition, I was concerned that the fees were exhorbant and wrote my District Attorney???s who had no luck (same as me) with contacting this company to discuss a reasonable proposal. Will this be bad for me or do I have some type of resolution? Thank you.

The letter was sent certified mail and I live in Washington DC. You are correct, it did seem odd to me and did know that someone had to physically summons you for court. Could this be a fake attempt to scare me?

Hmm, this sounds crazy. IMO, I thought MYCASHNOW were unlicensed to lend. I would contact the district court and verify there is a summons pending. $1500.00 for a $500.00 loan is ridiculous.
??
This could be an attempt for them to try and get a default judgment against you for no show. Then they can garnish your wages.

If this is legitimate, should I make sure to appear? However, if there is no judgment against me, what do you recommend that I do?

You all are fantastic. Thank you graciously for your help and will make sure to check and see if this is a legitimate claim or not. Thanks again.

I received this letter today. I closed my account because I had to many payday loans and I am going to start working with a debt settlement company. But until that gets started any ideas on what I should do about this?

We have received information from your bank that you have closed the account, which you authorized to be debited in order to repay your legally binding loan obligation. We consider this to be a refusal to repay your debt and will immediately initiate action to protect our interest. We must require that you render your payment in the amount of $533.02 via western union quick collect or moneygram immediately. This payment reflects your balance as of April 9th 2009.

We may also initiate other action, which may include, but not be limited to, obtaining legal representation, (which would create additional charges to you), if we do determine that a request be made for service or a court appearance for a possible judgment be issued against you for the repayment of this legally binding debt.

Depending on the circumstances surrounding how you obtained the loan, we may also initiate internal investigation to ensure all information submitted on the loan application was accurate and not done fraudulently in order to attempt to obtain a loan under false pretenses.

You need to go to Western Union and get the BLUE QUICK COLLECT FORM

1. COMPANY NAME: CREDIT PROTECTION DEPOT
2. CODE CITY: OFFER (ONE WORD NO SPACES).
3. STATE: NEVADA
4. ACCOUNT #: Your Social Security Number
5. The reference # is Your Telephone Number

You can also use your debit card or various charge cards at
OR you can go to Moneygram and get the BLUE EXPRESSPAYMENT FORM
1. The Company name is: CPD-OFFER
2. The Receive Code is: 4243
3. The City is: Las Vegas
4. The State is: Nevada
5. The Account Number is: 1431944476

If you are unable to pay $533.02 for the entire balance on the loan then we must require a minimum payment of $177.67 place the account on hold.

If this account is referred for further review and action to our outside firm for additional collection efforts, it will commence activity on the account to be done to the fullest extent of the law in order to protect our interest in this matter. At that point, you will be responsible for all additional fees associated with costs involved for the collection of this debt.

Please call us immediately with the Control Number of your wire in order to update your account and to avoid other action and charges to you.

I would highly suggest you call 1-866-645-1661 to resolve this matter immediately. This is the only way for you to resolve this very serious situation, which you have initiated. Your failure to do so may result in the above-mentioned action being taken

Thank you,

Credit Protection Depot

The loan was illegal. They are based in Canada.

Ignore all that mumbo and send them a letter stating they are illegal.

Credit Protection works for MyCashNow. They are their collection agency.

How much was the loan for and how much have you paid? You only owe what you borrowed.
