Hi RJB, Im sorry to say they can call as much as they want. Have you tried sending them a letter or fax stating that you would like them to stop calling? And i dont understand that they still call after you already setup a payment plan to give them there money. Im guessing they will keep harrasing till they get all there money back.

i agree, I have also heard that the origional creditor can call as much as they wish until the debt is paid. I would pay this off asap but until then, maybe let the answering machine pick it up or check out the caller id first if those are available for you.

Have you officially setup a payment "plan" with them? If you are just telling them when you are going to send money, pretty much they will keep calling until the account is current.
I had a bout like this with Discover several years ago. They would call me, I would make a small $50 payment over the phone, then they'd be calling the next day wanting more. I finally snapped and told a lady "I am trying to pay. The amount I paid yesterday was acceptable then, so why is it not acceptable now? If you're going to be calling me every day for money I don't have, you may as well charge it off and sue me." After that, she got a manager, who I explained my frustrations to. The manager set me up on an actual payment plan for $115/month and lowered the interest. After that, we were all good. Discover even re-aged my credit report and removed the delinquency as long as I was making those payment.
The moral of my story is that maybe you should ask for a manager and request to be setup on an actual payment plan.
