I settled with them, but I used a debt settlement company to do it. I ended up paying a little less than half my balance, not counting the fees I paid to the settlement company. Maybe someone has experience dealing direct with them and can give you some advice.

I should have added that you should try to do this on your own. I wasn't unhappy with Langhorne, but they weren't cheap. I actually found this site while googling about credit repair. I wish I had found it while I was still dealing with my payday loans.

By the time you pay Langhorne you will not save any money. The best way to handle Think Cash/FBDL is to buy down the loan by making additional payments.

I wouldn't go that far, kfstaff. What I paid Langhorne and what I paid my lenders combined was still less than what I would have needed to just pay them all off and I didn't have to keep paying interest while I saved it up. All I meant was that if I had found this site before, I probably could have done the same thing on my own saved Langhorne's fees too. But to say they didn't save me any money would just be wrong.

Think Cash is good to deal with too, they will adjust the due dates, and even the amounts if you contact them. I am going to paydown the loan quickier then their scheudle, but despite all the other scum out there, they were really easy to deal with and work out payments with. Good luck to you.

Good for you Kimball, however I did contact them without any results. I am glad it worked for you though.
Guest - I did contact several companies before I decided to do this on my own and the amount of time it would take and the amount they wanted to charge was just about as much as the PDL's themselves. I am happy it worked for you but it was not something that I would do or recommend to someone else.
First Bank of Delaware (Think Cash)
I have had some unexpected expenses arise and have been off of work for 2 months with knee surgery. I am current on my payments, but I tried to talk to them about trying to work something out to get this loan current and help me out , but they would do nothing but extend my payment by 7 days.
Does anyone out there have any advice on how to handle this so I don't get so far behind on everything that I lose it all?
How do you talk to these people to try to work things out and get it right?
