So I decided to go with Progressive Debt Relief for my 5 PDL's, 3 of which are storefront. I have been told by each storefront that they do not work with consolidators. The lady at Progressive told me that they always say that, but that they can and will work with them.

Two of my storefronts are CFSA members. Advance America and Express Check Advance. AA was actually pretty nice, saying they couldn't work with a consolidator but would let me pay off $100 a week. The lady at Progressive said they have worked with AA before and could get me a better settlement. The guy at Express check advance wasn't helpful at all, saying I could be taken to court. I thought you signed something with PDL's saying they couldn't take you to court, just arbitration. The guy at Express said they would only work with consolidators if someone is filing bankruptcy.

Has anyone worked with consolidators and had these issues when they first started? I'm a little nervous and don't know who to trust. Please help!

Don't pay Progressive any money and get out of this yourself. You can also contact Consumer Credit Counseling and request thier assistance. They will work out a budget and make arrangements with your lenders at no charge to you.

What state are you in, who do you owe, how much do you owe and how much have you paid?
