Since you have already accepted the card, you need to pay the monthly service charge of $7, one time account set up fee of $29, one time program fee of $95 and annual fee of $48, even if you close down the account. So in total you need to make a payment of $179. I think that if you do not need the card, you should immediately inform them in writing that you want to close down the account. A Secured card is *FAR* better and less expensive. Some secured cards report every payment so within 6 months you will start getting pre-approved offers. *However*, it is best wash your hands of the industry and never have another credit card again.

Again, a Secured card is *far* better. Getting jewelry at a Pawn Shop (which is listed as an unsecured loan - since they don't give you the jewelry until you pay it off) is *far* better.
