i had a debt that was sold/transferred to another lender. the new lender in this action, states i owe so much $ and won't validate what its for, what the charges are ect. The oc simply refers me to the jdb and will not respond to any requests for breakdown of charges.

I did write jdb for validation and recieved: 1. a letter stating amount(on their letterhead) 2. oc name 3. account number..that's it! I don't believe these charges are accurate and want to know what they stem from..

Should i just pay it to make it go away? I'm running out of options here..jdb won't validate debt and oc will not respond..pleaes help!

jdb=nco, i live in indiana..its a charge card...date of last acitivity(according to credit file) 8/00...but i can't say for 100% thats correct..i know i quit paying on card for sure in 02 during a divorce and i know i haven't paid since...nco would not validate instead sent me a summary letter..

Here is a link for the SOL in your state at http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/SOL-by-State.html#15 NCO is hard to deal with.

Keep copies of all correspondence you have with them, in case you need it later. I would send a follow up DV letter, along with a copy of your first one.

I dealt with them years ago, and it is important to keep a paper trail .
