I agree 100%
Some things that also cross my mind is why people don't come along and buy junk debt, and let the people pay them a percentage over what they bought it for and sign it off so the account reads paid in full.
I'd guess this will never happen because the dishonest people will get wind of it and realize they can run up an account and pay a small portion to get rid of it.
There has to be a way someone can buy a junk debt for pennies on the dollar, review a persons financial situation, and settle it honestly, and help people.
Hell I'd even be glad to pay a JDB a few hundred over what they paid if they could get the account status to read paid in full (no more JDB's can touch it)
I agree 100% with this. It has always baffled me too. And then
I agree 100% with this. It has always baffled me too. And then they wanna call you and tell you to just pay your bills.
Well hey, if we paid our bills...you wouldn't have a job!!!
i could understand it if and only if, the jdb actually paid face
i could understand it if and only if, the jdb actually paid face value for the in sol debts. but they do not! they have very little financial interests involved in purchasing these debts..and the original creditor does not benefit in any way for these being collected..hhmm..if original creditor wants their money, instead of selling our debts for pennies on the dollar( and losing money), why don't they just threaten to sell my debt to a jdb-i'm sure i would pay up that way!
