whyy is debt collection meaning by junk debt buyers even legal? really they pay pennies for your debt, why can they come after me for the full amount? these companies are using our court systems, and flooding them with bogus lawsuits for debt they bought...think about it, did you the consumer engage in any action with the plaintiff(jdb) in which the debt occured? short answer no-they chose to get involved by purchasing and we the consumer never enterred into a binding contrct with them..so why are we being forced to pay these ridiculous companies the full amount of the debt, when infact, they have not delivered any goods, rendered any services, ect..

I agree 100%
Some things that also cross my mind is why people don't come along and buy junk debt, and let the people pay them a percentage over what they bought it for and sign it off so the account reads paid in full.
I'd guess this will never happen because the dishonest people will get wind of it and realize they can run up an account and pay a small portion to get rid of it.

There has to be a way someone can buy a junk debt for pennies on the dollar, review a persons financial situation, and settle it honestly, and help people.

Hell I'd even be glad to pay a JDB a few hundred over what they paid if they could get the account status to read paid in full (no more JDB's can touch it)

i could understand it if and only if, the jdb actually paid face value for the in sol debts. but they do not! they have very little financial interests involved in purchasing these debts..and the original creditor does not benefit in any way for these being collected..hhmm..if original creditor wants their money, instead of selling our debts for pennies on the dollar( and losing money), why don't they just threaten to sell my debt to a jdb-i'm sure i would pay up that way!
