i am 2 months behind due to unseen expenses i now have them haveing my car repo its the only way i have to work i tried contacting hsbc auto to get an extintion but they will not i told them the best i could pay is 200 every 2wk until its caught up and ask thing not to repo they said i had to pay the full 800 behind or it would be repoed please let me know is there a way to stop them other than bankrupt because i dont want that please

Your car can be repossessed even if you make only one missed payment, as it is considered breach of the loan agreement. If you cannot make the creditor agree to modify the loan agreement, you can consider selling your car. You need to inform your creditor of your plans of selling the car and the creditor has to temporarily stop the process of repossession. Once the car is sold, you pay the money for which the car has been sold to the creditor and the creditor will make arrangements for you to repay the remaining portion of the debt.

Try talking to a supervisor or loss mitigation dept. If they won't work with you then unfortunately you will need to come up with the money somehow...can you get an advance on your pay thru your work? Can family help?

Unfortunately the loan is secured by the car and if you miss payments they will repo...sometimes the collector is playing hardball...try talking to a manager or the loss mitigation/repo dept.

ask them for a deferment they can do it what it does is puts what you are behind on the end loan and you pay a fee of course but you keep your car///// if you file bankrupt it is federaly protected by laws but only until the case is final then you will get repoed
