Failure to pay back a debt is not considered a criminal offense and so you cannot be arrested for it. If CPS has bought the debt from the OC, they can at the most sue you and bring judgment against you to recover it through wage garnishment or garnishment of bank account.

What was the name of the original payday loan place? How much did you borrow? How much did you pay back? Have you closed the bank account whose info you gave them?

its allied cash advance. I borrowed $500 and made a payment but I owe $455 still and yes, the bank account is no longer, so they cant get it from that. I am going to pay them little by little over the next few weeks, but I don't want to talk to them. I am just afraid they will pursue something between now and then. Their message said I needed to call them immediately, today and so on...

But generally you don't want to mess around with the storefronts because it is very easy, quick, and cheap for them to take you to local small claims court.
