Payday loans aand Chapter 13

I cannot close my account for work purposes - it is impossible and discussing the situation with them is equally as impossible as this is a second chance account and getting another account locally is virtually impossible.
What do I do if they try to debit my account? I missed my payment via Moneygram today and have a 24 hour extension so no one has called yet (they will probably call tomorrow). Should I proactively contact them in the morning with my File number and tell them they can't debit my account or is that just asking for trouble?
Lawyer says I legally cannot pay them since they are listed in my bankruptcy and she can demand payment back; however, I can't wait that long since I will owe my first payment, etc. etc.
Any advice or past experience would be helpful.

If it is not possible for you to close your bank account, you can visit the bank and talk with the manager for cancellation of ACH authorizations with the payday lenders. By doing this, you can block the withdrawal attempts by the lenders from your account.

Have you previously sent the PDL's an ACH revocation? If so, and they try to debit your account in the next few days, you have proof to the bank that those withdrawals were unauthorized.
The problem I see here is if you don't protect your account, the illegal PDL's may try to debit your checking account, causing it to go overdrawn...reality check...illegal PDL's don't care if they cause your account to go negative, resulting in all the headaches that will ensue...
Protect your checking account...talk to your bank and see what they can do to help you...I've heard that if you stop ACH, the PDL's will submit paper checks. I know, I know, you've filed BK, but again, the illegal PDL places don't follow laws...

THank you for your replys. No I have not sent the ACH revocation. If I send it and they take the money out will the bank refund the money because they are unauthorized?
Is it possible to block all ACH transactions but still let checks go through?

It just depends on your bank-it seem they all have different guidelines they go by. I'm thinking that PayDayMax and MyCashNow are the same company or operate under the same parent company. I have dealt with PayDayMax and they did NOT stop trying to debit my account even after I sent the ACH revoke letter. PayDayMax is not legal they are not in this country (they operate out of Grenada) and I don't know for sure that they would honor the automatic stay.

Truthfully, closing the account is the only effective way to prevent them from taking $ from your account and elimate the potential hassles that may result from the overdrafts.

Yes, even if you block the ACH transactions for individual PDLs, it is quite possible that the PDLs may use another name and withdraw money from your account. The only way to stop them is to put a hard block on your account. When you put a hard block, you allow only deposits into your account and not withdrawals. Now, if you want to withdraw money from your account after putting a hard block, you need to visit the branch to get the money or write a check to yourself.

If you put a Hard Block on your account, it basically turns into a deposit only account, and renders the account ineffective as a checking account...no checks or ACH's can be debited from your account.
If you block ACH's, PDL's may try to submit paper checks...then you're right back where you started.

I know the bank I work at the only you can block all ACH's and let checks go through is to block each one individually and that can be costly and not 100% effective. As other's have mentioned, they could change the amount or their name.
Defiantly talk to your bank and see what the options are if you are not able to close your account. I know my bank allowed me to open another account and put a hard block on my old one until I got my direct deposit switched over. When my direct deposit hit the blocked account, the banker took the hold off for a few secs so I can transfer the money into the new account.
