I have to disagree, when we filed bankruptcy not one creditor showed up for the meeting of creditors. If southernapostolic meets all the criteria for filing BK. Why would the they show up?

Just for the record, I have not filed the petition yet. The date of default was August of 2008, and I retained the attorney in November of 2008. There is no "fraudulant" activity on the accounts. None of them even had enough avaialable credit to go over the amounts that would be allowed before the filing. My lawyer does not contact the creditors. It is up to them to contact him if they want to get info, and then they will just be told that I have retained him.
It just seemed a little odd to me that they have not tried any collection activity at all in almost a year, when GE Money Bank and HSBC are constantly sending my accounts to different collectors, and I have to keep giving the new collectors the attorney's contact information.
