Letters and e-mails DO WORK!!!

congrats!! I am so happy things worked out for you. Once they realize that you are aware of the laws, they usually do have a change of heart. Keep those letters just in case they pop back up again! :)

I save both my e-mails and make a hard copy to attached to the agreement. Just in case!!

I also save any e-mails or other correspondence and keep a log of phone calls. It's better to be a little cautious when dealing with PDL's.

I included in the letter that they can only contact me by US Mail or e-mail. That way I have the information straight from them and a hard copy to boot! I like the e-mail because it includes their contact e-mail and the date/time sent. I also print out a copy of the letter/e-mail that I send so I know exactly what I sent to who.

that's what I did too. I received 2 paid in fulls so far. Several e-mails requesting payment which I responded to by re-emailing my original letter. I will hold on to this "paper trail" until I'm sure they won't come after me.
