Instacash?

I have received a call from this company and they became frustrated when I pushed them on what Federal Juristriction did they have to charge a felony and detain me. I laughed at them when they informed me that they were coming to arrest me, by the way my cousin is a D.A. and my roomate is a sheriff. I envited them to come over and attempt to kidnap me but they declined. I am a 6 ft 3 285 lb. executive security officer"body guard"with a permit to carry a fire arm. P.S. I havn't had a payday loan in 4 years. This is a scam for sure and they must be challenged without fear when they call.

Not to be repetitive, but this same thing happened to me last week. I was freaked out for about 1 min, but the more the person talked, the more BS i knew he was throwing at me. I took out a $200 payday loan 5 years ago, paid it off quickly, and resumed my life. This was before I setup my current email and cell phone number. I am going to not only contact every law enforcement agency I can, but I am also going to contact the company that originally gave me the loan those long years ago. This pisses me off!

Here is another hint for them to leave you alone: Have fun with them. I know it sounds crazy, but the more they realize they can do nothing, the more they will not try. I received two phone calls last week. The first I just hung up on... The second... I had such fun screwing with this guy, that he hung up on me! It has been 10 days, and I have not received a phone call yet. Maybe the FCC already took my complaint seriously, and shut these pricks down. :)

they harrassed me at work, on my cell from all kinds of numbers. This went on for a week and when i finally talked to them, they tried to convince me to get a prepaid "walmart" card and fax it to them with authorization to take $700 owed and that it should be notarized but as long as i sent my photo id it was fine. He actually gave me a word for word statement to fax. When i didnt fax it, they called again at which point i told them they are a scam. They threatened me with court proceedings to the tune of $8000 and told my husband that id be crying all the way to jail. He again screamed fraud and we havent heard from them in a week now

Instacash, "Morris", called me Friday and stated much the same. Except that I owed him $8,954.00 and he would have an investigator at my door today to collect. He said all of the same things as everybody else has heard; he has a judgement here in my county, it was from a payday loan, yadi, yada. He gave me his number and his manager. Strangely, he hung up when I told him that everything was recorded and was sent to the Atty. Gen. in Co. after his second call. I had a little time, so I called him back for the next two hours and hammered him that I traced his phone, got his location and reiterated that not only was the A.G. after him but also the phone company and the police dept., here and that there would be an investigator there today. It turns out that what they are doing is not only a crime by itself but also by virtue of doing it on the phone and doing it in a large way to many others in my area. Sorry, the guy called me when my blood sugar was down. But, yes, they are vermin and rat poison is too good for them.

Me and my girlfriend got the the call today SEP 27 2010 From a Indian speaking guy that called himself Peter Jackson here is his # they called me from (213)286-0299 ex 5200. He told my gf that she took a loan out on Feb 2 2010 and she never paid it back. Which is TOTALLY untrue! We have never even heard of " Instacash"! Then once she was trying to ask questions this guy "Peter" kept inturupting her to change the question around and back on to her. He then got loud and rude. Saying he was going to tell her work and every other employer i try to get and that a federal officer would be here to pick her up the day before and hold her in a jail cell until the following day when she had court and that if she didnt pay 450 dollars today then she would go to jail after her court time. But when she tried to ask what court and where he would just say that someone would be here to pick her up. Anyways this guy is a asshole and its pathetic that he creeps on people like that. I feel bad for anyone who has gone through this and i hope ppl are smarter than to shed there money out to this LOSER!! I also went to the police department and they told me to tell him to " DELETED...PM sorry no profanity allowed per the TOS.i know how you feel,but talking to them at all is not advised.file the report then ignore them.

I agree, don't be a victim! I got a call from these creeps last night. I have to admit, it was a little scary. They threatened me with a court date and $5000 in court cost if I didn't pay them $700 right this very second. Once I got over the shock, and realized that there was no way anyone could take me to court in that short amount of time, I new it was a fraud.

When the guy called me back, asking about the payment, I told him that I reported their whole operation to the FTC. He quickly hung up.

omg I just got this call at my job, they said they tried to e-mail me 16 times and gave me some random e-mail account. They then asked me to verify my address which I did not, I asked what they had on file and they gave me some random abcdefg address...really!! I asked them for proof of this and they said to be ready on Friday with $8,400 for legal fees. I asked them where they would be coming since they don't have the correct info. The lady said her name was sara paul and asked for her # this "attorney's" office # is 213-286-0296. It was def. a scam she hung up when I asked her where they were located so my attorney and I could come visit them. I never took out an instacash loan!!I have no idea what she was talking about.

I too got a phone call not once but about 15 times today. Stating that i owed money from a payday loan company. As I have had a payday loan. I thought that maybe I did miss apayment. Whe I asked the company and the date he started in that i was going to be arrested at work. Lose my job. So I started freaking out. He talked me in cicrles and had me scared. I gave my bank info. And he told me to faz a certified letter staing that they coulod take the money to satisfie the dept. He wanted to stay on the line while I wrote the letter and faxed it. When I told him I could not tie up my line. He called back in 5 mins and yelled at me are you messing with me I can call the police now.. Then when I realized that real bill collectors do not act that way. I started to ask fopr more information. He said I will process your arrest and hung up. I proceed to try and call him back. With no answer. So on my lunch I went and closed my account. After work I am going to the police station and filing a report.

Got the same call today from David Wilson, heavy accent. Told me I owed the money and I would go to jail if not paid. Said I owed $998 and a $52 fee for something but would take $1000 to settle. Wanted me to send a letter to them stating that I would not dispute the charge when paid. That is a dead give away. Stay away from them.

I just started recieving threatining messages saying I owed a company called insta cash and I am subject to criminal charges my account has never been debited the funds of 810.00 which they are claiminig I stole and dont want to repay I will be contacting an attorney asap regarding this matter they refused to give me their info I only have a phone number I am very worried and upset!:-(

I also had several phone calls over the last two weeks while I was on vacation. I came home to a full answering machine and 9 voicemails on my cell. I finally spoke to them yesterday and was hung up on every time I tried to get a straight answer about what these calls were regarding. I too was unnerved by the information they had on me. After the 3rd call I spoke to a supervisor, (so he said) and asked him the court that my case was going to be heard in so I could send my attorney in my place. He wouldn't tell me. He told me I would find out when the police AND FBI were showing up at my house to issue the subpoena and take me to court. I told him I will be working and won't be home. He said they would come to my job and I told him that I'm a flight attendant so good luck finding me. That brought us back to my original request for the date, place, and time for my court date. He went back to telling me I would find out when the "investigators" showed up. During the course of the call he called me a liar and a fraud. If I hadn't been so amused by his gall, I would have been offended! These people have no idea what they are talking about. I called my local police to file a complaint but since it's out of state you have to actually file the complaint with the FBI. Please do! These idiots are taking our info, time, and causing unnecessary stress.

Same thing here, I've never...how did things work out for you did they call you again? They kept hanging up on me when I called them back! They gave me a 760 number to "First State Attorney's Office" , I kept calling them back ..as of now they just picked up the phone and.... convientiently the call is disconnected repeatedley no matter how many times I call.

These folks can not tell me any details of where this money that was "supposedly deposited into". They threaten to send me documents to sue. Did they sue you?

I asked them for their address..they asked which one I told them each address they have they then asked me why? Then the bozos transfered me to someone that was suppose to be more helpful and the phones seemed to have crossed wire into svereal hand and telephone calls it was very unusual. I called several times and I told them they were very uprofessional and that I needed some sort of reference so that I could get to the bottom of this they just kept "circle-ing" around the phone. I called the original 724 number back and got some voicemail for extension 501333. I am going to try reporting this and would suggest anyone else does as well...

Yeah they asked about my atty as well i told them not at the time.. They have no idea I work with attys and I have PRE PAID legal...they have no clue.. I have had the same call yesterday with Instacash claiming that I borrowed money from them and that they had a supoena to come arrest me today at my job if I do not pay a certain amount of money and to fax it immediately with my credit card numbers and so forth. They scared me senseless. I did not have time to call the bank to check if this is true or not. They said I still owe so much more money what do I do now?

I just got a call from InstaCash a little while ago. The guy said his name was Daniel Andrew and you could clearly tell from the background noise that he was calling from a call center NOT a legal department. He said that I defaulted on a payday loan from them (never used them) and I had to give them $896 (the alleged original loan amount was $550) today or charges of federal banking violations, check fraud (never wrote them a check) and theft by deception would be filed and I would have to be in court tomorrow morning at 11:00 and pay over $5000. Yeah ok. Of course, I got scared at first. Then he said he could set up payment options for me over the next few months because of my current situation and put the charges on hold. You CANNOT be criminally charged for debt...there is no longer a debtors prison. Then he said I needed to fax them an authorization letter with my name, social and bank info in order to process automatic payments. I said "yeah I'll get right on that." I contacted the FBI, FCC, and state attorney general's office who all informed me that this is a scam and they recognized the InstaCash name. The attorney general's office informed me that in my state (NC) you CANNOT be arrested nor your wages garnished for a payday loan and, if it is a real payday loan debt, that they can only make you pay back the principal amount. They can't make you pay back late fees. So, if you run into this issue just rest assured you can't be thrown in jail for defaulting on a payday loan and be SO careful what information you give out.

They called me again today, by a "Zack Roberts" and said I had agreed to make a payment today. I told him he was mistaken. He asked if I had a lawyer and I said yes. He proceeded to tell me that the creditor (which he couldn't identify) was planning to file charges against me. I told him to do what he needed to do but I owed them NOTHING and I wasn't going to give them a dime. I informed him that unless he provided me with legal documentation to prove it is a valid debt and law enforcement shows up at my door DO NOT contact me again. I also let him know that I've reported him to the FTC, FCC, FBI, State Attorney General's office, Homeland Security, the Secretary of State, and the local county and city police departments. I hung up on him and they haven't called back.

Every agency I spoke with knew exactly what I was talking about and had heard of this "company" before and unfortunately they aren't the only people doing it...there are numerous "companies" out there trying to scare people out of their money. It is useful information though, however, for those of you in NC...payday loans ARE illegal. Also, it can't hurt to make sure that you are on the "Do Not Call" registry.

Also know that it is against the law for a bill collector to contact you at work. Companies know that. So, if you get a call at work from someone demanding money then know it's not legit. Best thing to do is just contact authorities and report it.

This is a total scam they ask for your attorney on retainer (like I have one of those lol). They have all your information and try to get you to give them money or you will have to go to court and pay $8,000 for a loan you never even applied for.
When they couldn't reach me on my cell phone they called my job. They will call your friends if they have any of those numbers on record. They threatened to have me arrested at my home or job and everything. They try to scare you into giving them money and all of your information. I called the Federal Trade Commision for my state. DON'T GET SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE. Contact the Federal Trade Commision for your state and report them.

Instacash is a payday lender. I guess you have taken out a payday loan from them and now they are contacting you in order to get back the dues. They are trying to scare you so that you start making the payments. If payday lending is legal in your state, then you can go for a payday loan consolidation and get rid of the dues.

anna just because a state allows pdl's means nothing.if a scam calls it should be treated as such.please know that.for example my state IL allows pdl's but i had 10 internet pdl's and all were not licensed making them illegal.i also overpaid on all but one so please know that just because payday lending is legal in a state means all loans are legal.that's not true,and instacash is not legal in any state.

They called me from instacash and said that they were an us attorney named Manuel Walker with the phone # of 510-227-1811. This number was from Oakland California and the date was January 29, 2011. :neutral:

I received a call today regarding a loan that I have taken out and in default but never with insta cash. They threaten to call my job and summons me with court papers and perhaps taken to jail. However, they did provide my last 4 digits of my social and incorrect amount and date of loan. I must admit I was scare because I thought that I could have a gotten and the company went to a third party on this. I feel so much better.

I am being harrassed by (Insta Cash) for a loan I NEVER took out! I checked with my bank the very first time I got a call from them, They also called my parents who are not in good health and got them frightened.. Now they are calling pretending to be internet crime investigaters. I filed a complaint with BBB and called my local law enforcement agency. What else can I do? It is very scary they DO have all my personal information.

My husband got two of these calls today. The man on the other side of the second call tells my husband (after my husband tries to get the email or phone number of the people who are claiming that he owes money to them) that his court date for these charges is tomorrow or the next day and that the police were going to pick him up for the court date and that there are federal charges against him and that's a huge problem cause he's in the military. When my husband had him read all the information they had everything was right except for our address but he had just moved a few weeks ago, So I'm so glad that i found these web site that described exactly what was happening, cause we were really stressing.

I just recieved a call from these very same people stating the very same stuff. I notified local law enforcement. Through the right to discovery they are obligated to provide you with information regarding a criminal or civil complaint being filed. I asked for a phone number to contact them back I was then tranfered to several different people. Dont get scammed.

I received the same call today. Claimed I took a loan out BEFORE I had an account with my current bank. They called prior to 8:00am, against the law!! I never took out the loan and never received any deposit from InstaCash! What's funny though is my daughter got on the line and started screwing with them. She is a bill collector with a legitimate company within the USA. She actually talks english too! By the time she was done with them they were telling her not to call back, LOL!! I got a call from someone claiming to be from a law office regarding an Instacash loan, which I did not get, stating that there were criminal charges filed against me and that my bosses will be called, I will lose my job, and be charged with several crimes. I saw where someone else had the same thing happen. I am in the process of calling my lawyer. Should I be concerned?!

i have just recived a phone call from a law firm saying.that they were a law firm called united cyber space.and that they were.representiing.instacash.they have my bank info.and said that they were going to file charges on me.of a loan i was supposed to have taken out with instacash.never herd of this place.and they would not give me any info.to insta cash and that instacash did not want to talk to me.

I talked to a lady today saying she representing Instacash from a firm named United Cyber Crime. The number was from Sacramento,Ca 919-395-0000. They have called me for two days! Won't give information on who i owe, only that i owe money and will be prosecuted. That's bullcrap!!!!! I will see them in court allright!!!

I just received the same call from an indian man claiming he worked for insta cash saying I had tooken out a loan of a 1000 dollars. I panicked because I had never tooken out a loan and had all my personal information tellimg me that the way to pay it back was to give them my bank account number and threatened me jail and criminal charges. I got a call from this no and i took a loan from this company $1500.i paid them back $800 and they sent all the document to my home within 15 working days.........

I have been recieving calls from a male (out of this contry) saying that I owe a pay day loan. (insta cash) He has been calling for several months and calls tons of times a day. Now some how he has gotten my private work number and has started to call me there. He told me today that I needed to either go to court and settle this matter or that I could settle out of the court system for an amount of $1,050.00 in three payments of $350.00 for the next three weeks. I tried explaing to him that im a single mother and couldnt afford this knowing I have never recieved any loan. He knew my birthday social security number and name and address. Even where I worked! He then threathen me saying that if I didnt return his call on wensday for court on thursday that I would have an officer at my door that was going to arrest me for Fraud in the 2nd degree. I would go to jail and loose my job because its a felony. I was so upset at work. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed to fax a letter to him with all my information like my full name address social birthday and my debit/credit card information so they can take out the payments. Also attach a copy of my photo id. I dont know what to do or where to turn.
I have also been getting phone calls from the credit protection department as well. I dont know where to turn or who to believe on this matter. Like I said earlier im a single mother of two small children. Please help.

When I tried to send him the fax none of my faxes would go threw. They kept on saying "poor line connection". When I called him back and asked him what to do he said I needed to go to a real fax machine and try to do it again. That I needed to hurry or the charges are totally going to be pressed against me and if I failed to do so that it was on me.
