icollect has been discussed many times.. my sister was sent to them for an illegal lender. they called, harrassed, etc. but in the end she ended up settling with the illegal lender. that is really all that i know about them, she never recieved anything in writing or anything from them.

I would send the validation letter and add that all communication must be done in writing. than i would stop talking to them on the phone, period. if you answer their call today, tell them you are sending the debt validation letter and for them to stop calling you.

Tell them they need to send you a dunning letter (letter of collection) as required by the FDCPA. You'll never receive one most likely, so, I would follow the advice of bea2ls and send out the DV.
