Hi Perkins,
When you were contacted by Medicredit, have you not asked for a validation?
You can try consolidating the bills. But IMO its important that you get proper validation from the collection agency before setting up any payment arrangement with them, especially when you're not sure about the bill.
You can read more about Medicredit Corporation in the following thread.

Well i could just cry! We have payed some MANY hospital and collection agencies bills that it took up the living room floor. I am positive we have over payed and double payed some bills. We were just overwhelmed with the amount we owed with having insurance and didn't want to get sued. Now all that is left is the Medicredit corp. and now i see that we have been paying them and the hospital. They had two different account numbers and not the same balance so i thought they were different bills. I am amazed the amount of money they are wanting it can't be legal. The hospital bill is $44.00 and Medicredit is $792.00 and the other two are more than the double original bill. We sent no validation letters to anyone it was our first time dealing with a problem like this. So we are not sure what rights we have now we live in Indiana. We hope you have some advice for us I feel so dumb now!
