I was wondering how feasible it is to consolidate my debts into one payment. I am a firm believer of paying all my debts and would like to obtain a lower monthly payment- as well as just one payment per month.

Now that I am in Canada I have many people tell me to just stop paying because creditors will not follow me abroad for under $20000($8200 in credit card and about 11,000 in student loans) but I really want to meet my responsibilities and get a manageable payment.

Would greatly appreciate any advice or information on the matter.

You are going to have a problem with any type of consolidation. You will not qualify for a private loan consolidation while out of the country. And a canadian debt consolidation company wont touch you because you are dealing with US debts.

The border and currency is a big issue to content with.

This board is not a service. It is simply a public message board dealing with people looking at getting out of debt.
