Okay, I took out a loan with them for $500 and then after reading the post about this company I took it upon myself and I closed my account before they could touch it. They just called me today and they said before I haven't even made a payment, they are taking me to court for fraud. Can they do this and is there a letter that I can send that will state something along the line of I can't pay the full amount but I can pay $50 here and $50 there by money order? I want to pay them but I don't want them to get my new account #. Please help.

I do want to pay them but they are refusing to make any payment plan with me so I was thinking about sending them a certified letter with a money order from the postal service and do it that way so they if they cash the money order I can tell them that yeah, you accepted my offer of $50 every two weeks or so until my principle is paid off.

They will not accept that because they want me to pay the full amount. I want to make sure that they get my letter and that they know I have every intention of paying them but just can't make the full amount. I'm also thinking about copying the California Attorney General on the letter just in case they want to take me to court.

The first thing that you need to do is close your checkin account and open a new account with a totally different bank so that these transactions cannot go through once that is done these payday loan places will not have any access to your account any longer then you can either go ahead and settle with them directly or use a third party consolidation company (which of course charge you a fee)
