Read on here that I could go right to the pdls ach processor and have them stop debuting my account. I tried it and got nowhere. They stated they didn't have the authority to stop the transactions and told me to speak to the pdls. Also, my bank wants me to come in and call the pdls on a recorded line to see if THEY willACCEPT the ach revocation! If not they will continue to take money out and can also use the taped conversation against me in court.

Your bank is full of it. You need to send the PDL an ACH revocation letter. Send it certified, return receipt requested. Then, go to your bank, with a copy of that letter and explain to them that you revoked ACH authorization and, by continuing to debit your account, they are committing fraud! Your bank should reverse the charges, refund your money AND not allow any further withdrawls from this company.

I will do that, am not happy with the bank but since I had so many NSFs I was reported to Chex systems and can't get another account.

Just received a letter/email from East Side Lenders that says that they are in Delaware and abide by Delaware law and that I still owe them the full loan amount of $500+$150 fees even though I have already paid them over $1350 thus far. They say they are willing to take this to court but will offer to let me make payments if I am having financial difficulties. Anyone know if they can take it to court? I have paid about and beyond the amount I was loanded but since I'm in PA and they rule by DE laws . . .

I already filed complaints with the BBB, PA AG, FTC and the DE AG. I got worried when I saw their letter but I will stick to my guns and just resend them my original letter demanding a refund for the overpayment. I will never get into a mess like this again. If nothing else, at least I learned a valuable lesson - the hard way! Thanks for your help, having a forum like this really saves your sanity!

The funny thing is that East Side ignored me for a very long time. They never sent me a letter stating my account was paid in full but the DID send a letter to the DE BBB telling them that they have marked my account PIF and that this should resolve the matter. Well, the BBB obviously copied me on that letter, so I filed it away in a safe place. And, it's a good thing I did, because I had a collection agency call me about what they alleged I still owed to these slimes. The collector got a little lippy with me, even after I sent him a copy of my PIF letter. So, I forwarded the same letter to the CEO, CFO, CAO, and COO of his collection company and received an apology from them in a matter of minutes. I've not been bothered by anyone in regard to EastSide Lenders since :)
