Glad i found this forum.
Im way over my head in PDL's,I live in Kansas.
Would like to get out of this Hell.
Have thought about not paying since i dont have enough money left for bills.
One major thing that worries me is that PDL places will call my..
References?I dont want family and friends harrassed.
Also im not sure if i could close my bank account in Kansas legally.
All my PDL's are storefronts with actual checks written.
My only plan i can think of is get a 2nd job and work slowly out of them but...
That could take forever!

There are options like debt negotiation and consolidation you can try.
The lender or collection agency can call your references under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Agency, but only if they cannot get a hold of you, and they cannot harass you or your references.
You can close your bank accounts legally, but if you stop paying then worst case scenario, it could lead to your having to pay the creditor's attorney fees and court costs in addition to the full amount of the debt if they take you to court. Just a warning.

No i havent defaulted on any.
They are all Storefronts like Advance America,Check N Go,etc
I have borrowed 500 from each place and keep the loan going.
So they can only call references if they cant reach you?Thats good.
Nobody knows my situation and its gonna hurt friendships and stress my family...
If PDL places are harrassing them.

Good news for you, these lenders are all members of the CFSA (Community Financial Services Association of America ) see the link below:
http://www.cfsa.net/MemberList.aspx
This means you are eligible for the EPP, read about it at the link below:
