refusing phone calls

once i tell a payday loan company or collection agency that i want a letter of collection
and they don't send it and they keep calling..am i in my rights to just hang up. again
if they don't send me something in writing.

alot of pdl's will do their own collections.some will assign it to collections.it depends really.however if the pdl is illegal then i would just file complaints as an OC even a pdl isn't obligated to send a dunning letter.a CA however is required by law to send a dunning letter in 5 days after first contact.a couple of questions

1)who is the lender
2)who is the collection agency

answer those,and we can help you proceed.
