I would like ask you for advise. One item on my TU credit report shows "Foreclosure" and "foreclosure initiated; closed 08/2008". I sold my home in short sale, which is not showing on my credit. So question, what should I do with this problem, do I have any legal ground to request removing this item from my credit report ?

You do have a legal right to have this corrected since this is incorrect information. You should contact the credit reporting bureau and send them a copy of the proof that your home was sold in a short sale. The bureau will do some investigation to prove for themselves that the information is incorrect and then fix it.

And congratulations on your short sale!

You can either have this corrected or removed.
For my short sale clients, I have them monitor reporting after the fact and since usually there is something messed up with the reporting, I consult with my clients on what steps they can take to have the account removed from credit.info removed.
