I am retired, living on two small pensions and trying to become debt free. Half of my pension goes toward credit card debt but the rest is not quite enough to live on so I'm going backward. As per your situation, I think debt consolidation will be the best option for you. You can talk to a financial manager and provide them your financial information. Tell them how much you can manage to pay each month towards your debt. The financial manager can help you to chalk out a plan to be debt free.
Moreover, you should try to cut back on your expenses and save more. The money you save should be used towards your monthly payments while you're in the debt consolidation process. Best of luck!!!
