That's not validation. If they send you an actual statement from HSBC, THAT could constitute validation. I would respond to the letter from the attorney, thanking them for responding to your validation request and informing them that what they've supplied is not proper validation. Ask them again to validate the debt.

Ok sent validation letter to lawyer along with the letters sent to CA and copies of the return receipts. haven't heard anything from the lawyer postal services shows the letters were accepted on the 3rd of this month. how long should I wait to respond and who should I respond to the lawyer or the CA?
