Can a payday loan garnish your wages from a loan taken out in 2006 with no wage garnishment signed?

Should I be concerned?

Oh!!!! Now, I'm starting to feel fishy about the whole situation. Ask DNI recovery to send you a collection letter for the debt they are collecting upon. Once you receive the letter, send them a Debt validation letter.

And don't be concerned about the wage garnishment threats. The debt collector is using it to scare you to pay the amount.

They can't garnish your wages without a court order. Some lenders stipulate a wage assignment should the consumer fail to make their payments to pay off the loan, but it can be revoked at any time, email them a letter revoking their rights to any wage assignments you may have signed, date it, print it out and take it into your employer.

you betcha, here is some more.not only get the revocation letter out,but alot of employers in IL won't honor a wage assignment period.at least one with an ES(electronic signature).btw the max even with a court order is 15% of income after all other deductions.just shows what kind of humanoids you are dealing with.i know these things being in IL myself.
