Both are illegal in your state. You are only responsible to pay the actual amount borrowed on the loan but that too, whenever you have the fund with you to repay them. No need to make payment arrangements with them.

Listen to Paul! The only way to get away from illegal PDL's is to close your bank account. Be sure that all of your dealings with these lenders is done in writing so you have a paper trail. I have one lender that is out of the country, I owe $22.00 and I've asked several times via email for them to send me a viable address and I will send the balance owed on the principle (only). It's been almost a month and I've not heard back from them. So many of these payday lenders have multiple names and address.

Even if the illegal PDL lender sends your account to a CA, it will not change it's illegality. Ask the CA to validate the debt. If the debt is illegal, then the CA won't be able to validate it.
