Help regarding The Law Office of Anthony H. Rodriques
Date: Sun, 11/14/2010 - 14:06
The two letters came in the regular mail, I didn't have to sign for them. The letters basically state that they took over the accounts and want payment for both.
It states that I have 30 days to dispute the validity of this debt, and if I fail to do so they will obtain a judgement against me. It also states that at this time, no attorney with this firm has personally reviewed the circumstances of either account.
I also recieved at work a fax that was left on my desk stating that it was a verification of employment. I am wondering if I should sign it and fax it back showing refused.
I've heard bad things about these collectors. Any ideas or suggestions?

I've already got the letters ready to be sent out. I just pulled up my credit report and it doesn't show anything from them. I'm assuming B of A sold the accounts to them?

Ok, to be clear, I received two letters from Frederick J. Hanna regarding two accounts with B of A and a fax was sent to my work from Anthony H. Rodriques regarding verification of employement. I didn't respond to the fax, I just sent letters to both firms requiring a validation of the debt by certified mail.
I know one of them, Anthony H. Rodriques called my sister and said they were a law frim, gave her a file number, and told her to tell me to have them call them.
I've seen so much bad stuff written about both firms that I haven't bothered to contact them.
