Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
If you have paid off the debt, then there is no need to pay any money. If they call you again, tell them you don't owe any money to them. You can send the copies of your payment receipts to them. If they still call you, then ask them to validate the debt. I think they'll not be able to validate the debt. Anyway, if they are not able to validate it, then send a cease and desist letter to them so that they don't disturb you anymore. If they continue to contact your further, then take legal help. File a complaint with FTC or contact your State's Attorney General.
I agree with what Nelly has said. If you have paid off the dues
I agree with what Nelly has said. If you have paid off the dues to Regent, then you're not liable to pay the collection agency for the same account. Next time, when the collection agency calls you, ask them to validate the debt. You can even send a debt validation letter to the collection agency in order to get everything in writing. If they are unable to validate the debt, ask them to not call you further or else you may take legal actions against them.
