They put $300 into my savings account by they time I noticed it they had already taken 3 payments of $90 out. I contacted my bank and they gave me a phone #, when I call them they informed me I filled something out on the internet and agreed to it. They wanted me to pay them $600 to settle. I told them I was not going to pay them I did not agree to this "loan." I contacted our local police dept and they told me it was a scam and not to give them any money. However, it has been 3 months and they are now calling my place of employment, my parents, my inlaws, and my phone 2 or 3 times a day saying fraud has been commited and i will be served at my place of employment. They tell me I will go to jail because I commited a felony by passing a bad check across state and federal lines. How do I get this to stop? What can I do? I want my privacy back. I have a payday loan through a company, but I signed a contract agreement. I have asked them for a copy of the so called contract I signed and they say don't have an orginal. This needs to stop! Anyone know what I can do, I have contacted the police, the district attorney, the sherriffs dept and they just tell me its a scam and not to give them money.

Here are two links (below) you should read, one is about the Internet payday loan scams, the other is how to deal with illegal lenders. Please file complaints with the FTC, BBB and your state attorney general's office.

When it comes to illegal PDLs, there is no "definitely" other than, they will definitely get as much money from you as they possibly can. You only owe these people $30. Follow the advice Shazz gave you. You see, what happens is, even if you pay them the $390, they have your account info and they can go into your account any time they want to. Also, it's not uncommon for them to start calling a year or two later and claim you never paid them and now they're pretending to be attorneys, threatening to put you in jail unless you pay them $1000 to settle the matter right now. As long as these people think there is even the slightest chance that you'll give them some money, they will never go away.
