hi everyone first timer...my g/f recieved a summons for court for monies owed by a collector recently but what are the procedures on being sued? Does the person being sued have to be served? Can they give the documents to anyone affiliated with that person and hope they give them the documents in which this case happened and say she recieved the court summons or can they just mail to there home...thank you:confused:

Hey guys, I had read somewhere that anyone can put their signature for it, but then it won't be acceptable at the court. It also stated, that in order to be acceptable the defendant (or anyone who's legally representing him) must sign for it. Would you guys please help clarify my doubts regarding this? Does it also vary with our service rules?
