I'm sure I paid the thing off and since I haven't heard anything from any other agency on that account in over 5 years (and I'm at the same address) I'm guessing they know it, too. If I get proof from Pentagroup that the debt was satisfied and CACV just didn't notify the court....I see CACV being on the other side of the lawsuit...

Since you have already paid off the debt, you can send the following letter to the credit bureau requesting them to remove the listing from your report.

You can even send a Goodwill letter to the collection agency to request them remove the negative listing from your credit report.
